Inspect Surface
Inspect for cracks, gouges, tears, or punctures in the membrane, soft or spongy spots, indicating water damage or delamination, blistering or bubbling (especially on rubber or TPO roofs) and discoloration or excessive chalking on rubber roofs.
Check Seams and Edges
Inspect roof seams (front cap, rear cap, and side molding), for cracked, peeling, or dried-out sealant, lifted or separated seams. Test for loose or warped trim.
Inspect All Roof Components
AC units – Vents and skylights – examine dome condition and seals. TV/Satellite antennas, solar panels, and cellular boosters, awning brackets, or any installed accessories.
Inspect all penetrations for tight seals and are free from cracks.
Look for Interior Water Intrusion
Inside the RV, Check around ceilings, corners, overhead cabinets, and light fixtures for: stains, bubbling, or peeling. Check undercabinets if needed as well.
Inspect for soft wood or musty smells.
Photos & Notes
Document any damage or suspect areas.
Plan Repairs or Preventive Maintenance
Reseal any failing areas with RV-compatible self-leveling lap sealant or eternabond tape.
Full reseal (every 2–5 years depending on use).

Tape Off Surrounding Areas as needed
Apply sealant
Smooth or Self-Level the Sealant
Allow proper curing time
Re-inspect the seal after curing
Perform regular maintenance checks
